Welcome to NSGO Annual Meeting 2022

NSGO welcomes all members and other professionals with interest in gynaecological cancer research to the NSGO Annual Meeting 2022


The NSGO Annual Meeting is this year face to face from 31 March 2022 – 1 April 2022 at Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa, Finland.

On the 30th and 31st of March as well as 1 April pharma-sponsored symposia will be held, one each day.

The scientific program of this meeting focuses on Ovarian cancer, and we are honored that the most prominent international faculty is joining our meeting.

The program includes Scientific sessions where scientific work will be represented in form of a Scientific presentation’s competition.

During the Annual Meeting there will be NSGO-CTU Investigator Meeting.

Both Thursday and Friday exhibition from our Gold Sponsors and Exhibitors will be presented at Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa.

NSGO Annual Meeting administration fee includes participation in Annual Meeting, the NSGO-CTU Investigator Meeting and the Satellite Symposia.

If you have already paid your membership fee for 2022, your membership payment will be transferred to 2023.

Deadline for registration for Annual Meeting is 16 March 2022.

From 17 March 2022 late registration fee applies (+25%).

Final registration deadline is 27 March 2022, 11 AM.

  1. Members who have paid their membership fee the previous year (2021): 2.500,00 DKK including membership fee 2022 (late registration 3125,00 DKK)
  2. Members who have not paid their membership fee the previous year (2021): 2.950,00 DKK including membership fee 2022 (late registration 3687,50 DKK)
  3. Members who have not paid their membership fee the two previous years (2020 and 2021): 3.400,00 DKK including membership fee 2022 (late registration 4250,00 DKK)
  4. Non-members (incl. Sponsors): 5500,00 DKK (late registration 6875,00 DKK)
  5. Study nurses: 2000,00 DKK (late registration 2500,00 DKK)

Oral presentations in NSGO Annual Meeting 2022

This year, we invite all members to present their scientific projects in form of short presentation. The session for presentations will be held on Thursday, March 31st starting at 6 pm.

The simple rules are:

  • Presentations are limited to a 3-minute maximum
  • No limitations as for the number or type of slides (but be reasonable – the listeners value clear and concise presentations)
  • The presentations are not limited to PhD projects only – everybody can participate
  • Be prepared to participate in a panel after all presentations

In order to be able to participate, you must send a 200 word unstructured abstract of your presentation latest 18.03.2022 to Line.Bjorge@uib.no

The abstract must include:

  1. Title of your presentation
  2. Name, title and affiliation of the presenter (you)
  3. Research group/ other people involved in your re-search
  4. The unstructured abstract not exceeding 200 words.
You will receive a confirmation of acceptance.

The NSGO Board will decide the best presentation, and they will use both your abstract and presentation as source material.
The winner will get a free registration to one NSGO Annual meeting during years 2023-2025.

The winner will be announced at the dinner Thursday evening.

The Board wishes a good attendance, don’t be shy but let us all enjoy hearing about your project!

NSGO Annual Meeting guests can book single and double rooms at favourable price.

The price for single rooms including breakfast is 139 EUR per night from March 30th – April 1st.

For double rooms including breakfast is 159 EUR per night from March 30th – April 1st.

NSGO has made a number of reservations for meeting participants, and the rooms are being booked as first come, first served.

Transport from airport to Hotel

Hilton Helsinki Kalastajatorppa, Kalastajatorpantie 1, 00330 Helsinki is located approximately 19 km from Helsinki Airport

There’re various ways to get about.

This Helsinki-Vantaa Airport link tells you about most common ways to move around in the area.

There are several taxis outside the Airport as well as train station and bus station. All the transportations are easy to access and well guided in many languages.


 

Public transportation

If you decide on public transportation, you’ll get by bus or train to the central Helsinki and you’ll need to take tram to reach Munkkiniemi where Kalastajatorppa is located. Easiest way to use public transportation is to download our HSL app on your phone, (Helsinki area public transportation app), in which you can buy the tickets, but you can also input a destination and it will guide you there.


 

Taxis

The first three out of four taxi lanes outside the Airport are taxi companies that won the competitive tendering and you should choose your taxi from these lanes. Information about the pricing and how to see what the ride will cost can be found here.
