Venue
The meeting will be held in the Sune Bergström Lecture Hall, J3:07, at Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. The lecture hall is located within the hospital’s conference area and is easily accessible from the main entrance. Please refer to the hospital map for detailed directions.

Conditions for cancellation, refunds and change
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to Adela Ioana Buda at adela.ioana.buda@regionh.dk
Cancellation of registration will be accepted until November 13, 2024 up to which date the total administration fee will be refunded.
We regret that no refunds or reductions of fees will be accepted for cancellations made after November 13, 2024.
This is only applicable for the administration fee for the NSGO Annual Meeting 2024, and not the accommodation or transportation. Please contact the hotel directly for cancellation of the accommodation.

With its vibrant design and contemporary elegance, the Blique by Nobis is this years chosen hotel for the NSGO Annual Meeting 2024. Furthermore, the Gala dinner will take place here at the hotel’s very own facilities.
Located in Stockholm’s Vasastaden district, it is only a 500 m walk to the venue in Biomedicum. When registering, a link will be provided to book at a special conference rate.

Transportation Information
Stockholm has two airports: Arlanda (ARN) and Bromma (BMA). Arlanda is the main airport, offering most international flights and the best shuttle services. Bromma, while closer to the city, has limited international destinations.

Shuttle busses
Flygbussarna Airport Coaches operate from both Arlanda and Bromma airports to Stockholm City Terminal/Central Station, among many other stops – With the bus from Arlanda also stopping directly outside the venue, at Karolinska Sjukhuset Eugeniavägen.
Travel times for airport coaches:
- Bromma to Stockholm City Terminal: 20 minutes
- Arlanda to Karolinska Sjukhuset Eugeniavägen: 33 minutes

Train
Using Arlanda Express, it is possible to get to Stockholm Central in 18 min. Please note that Arlanda Express does not operate from Bromma Airport.

Taxi
Taxis are available directly outside of all terminals at both Airports. Always ask the driver for a fixed price beforehand. We recommend the companies linked down below.

Public transportation in Stockholm
Other alternatives includes the commuter train at Arlanda Central Station. The fee can be paid at the entrance to the station at the airport. The train normally leaves every 30 minutes and the total travel time to the venue is 1 hour.
Board train 40 towards Södertälje centrum. Go of at Stockholm Odenplan, and exit at up on the street at Dalagatan/Vanadisvägen. From there it is about 20 min walk to the venue, or a 10 min ride with Bus 6 towards Karolinska institutet.

Call for Scientific Presentations: Open Slots Available
This year, we are pleased to announce that a limited number of 10 minutes slots are available in the main program for scientific presentations – See ‘Preliminary Program’ for open slots!
We invite all members to submit their projects for consideration. We particularly encourage young trainees to participate and showcase their work.
Presenters will be selected based on the quality of their submissions, as well as geographical and subject diversity.
The Applicant has to be a member of NSGO.
Benefits for Presenting Authors:
- Selected presenters will enjoy a significant discount on registration fees.
- Presentations will take the form of a 10-minute oral presentation or poster session.
Submission Guidelines for Scientific Presentations
To be considered for selection, please submit an unstructured abstract of your presentation (maximum 200 words) by October 4, 2024.
Your abstract should include the following:
- Presentation Title
- Presenter’s Name, Title, and Affiliation
- Research Group/Other Collaborators Involved
- Abstract Content (within 200 words, unstructured)

Authors will be notified of acceptance no later than October 18, 2024.

Climate and Clothing
November in Stockholm can be cold, with temperatures varying from around -10°C to 5°C. Please note that snowfall might occur.

Local Currency
The Swedish monetary unit is the Swedish krona (SEK). Major credit cards like Visa and Master Card are accepted almost everywhere, also in small businesses. Some does even prefer card payment to cash. Local and regional buses are cash free, but accept Visa and Master Card with pin code. There are many cash-free shops in Sweden, and we recommend you to bring a credit card that is open for transactions made abroad.
Exchange rates may vary. To see current exchange rates, please ask your bank, or use an online currency converter.
Business hours & shopping
Shops are usually open between 10.00 and 18.00 hrs on weekdays and from 10.00 to 15.00 on Saturdays. Shops in the city center may have extended opening hours, including Sundays.
Smoking policy
Sweden has a strict non-smoking policy, i.e. smoking is prohibited in public buildings, public transport, taxis, buses and trains. All hotel rooms are by default non-smoking.
Electricity
In Sweden the electrical voltage used is 220/230V.
Force Majeure
The organisers are not liable for any claims for damages and/or losses if the entire conference has to be cancelled due to a force majeure incident.

The organisers are not liable for damages and/or losses of any kind which may be incurred by the conference delegates or by any other individuals accompanying them, both during the official activities as well as going to/from the conference. Delegates are responsible for their own safety and belongings.
Insurance and Vaccinations
The administration fee does not cover insurance for the delegates. The organisers recommend that delegates take out insurance in their home country to cover pre-journey cancellation for personal reasons and necessary insurance to cover accidents, medical expenses and loss of personal belongings during the visit. No vaccinations are needed when visiting Sweden.
Passport and Visas
Delegates are advised to contact the nearest embassy, consulate or travel agency for information about the passport and visa requirements from their country for entry to Sweden.
